Why use a makeup artist?

 Having trained in the design and application of makeup, I am able to recognise your facial features, determine the suitability of products and apply techniques to create a flawless, camera-ready finish that brings out the very best of your appearance. I aim to listen to and follow through with all my client's requests where possible, ensuring the makeup service for your special occasion is comfortable and stress free. With professionalism, an extensive kit full of makeup products and attention to detail, my goal is that you won't only look amazing but you will feel amazing too!

What method of application do you use?

I apply makeup using the traditional method, using a variety of makeup tools to apply suitable products to the face, neck, eyes, lips and cheeks. Prior to application, I will analyse your skin type to then apply suited skin care products as the base for your makeup. These steps help in the finish and longevity of the makeup, ensuring a clean and prepped skin surface to work upon.

The aim is to highlight your features and reflect your personality within your look, so that you are comfortable and confident!

How long will my makeup application take?

From start to finish, I aim to allow 60 minutes per person for a full face makeup application. This ensures a quick conversation about the desired look before actual application, setting time, application of false lashes (if applicable) and additional time for any alterations/corrections if needed.

This time frame is a rough guide which may take less or more time as everyone is different.

How can I prepare for my makeup booking?

Please ensure you have a clean, makeup free face ready for your booking. Applying a light daily moisturiser to your face will ensure a well hydrated skin surface that is ready to receive your makeup application.

Any facial waxing/tanning should be ideally performed no less than 3 days prior to your makeup booking.

What brands do you use?

I don't stock one specific brand of makeup but rather a diverse selection of products from many different brands. I'm constantly adding new items, finding the best a brand has to offer and combining these products with other brands to create a quality driven, flawless finish!

Some brands in my kit include: M.A.C, Napoleon Perdis, Laura Mercier, Makeup Geek Cosmetics, Clinique and Becca among others!

Natural or full coverage - what makeup will I have done?

I have a variety of products which can be tailored to suit your makeup request.

Your desired makeup look will be applied to your personal preference of coverage, from minimal to full, just as the colour intensity can be applied from light to dark.

Every person is different, so my service to you will ensure your personality is reflected through a look which highlights your features but most importantly, that you feel comfortable with throughout the whole process.

Will my makeup need retouching during the day/night?

Only quality products have been chosen in my kit, ensuring a vast selection that can be suitably matched with the needs of your skin type. The products I use have been designed and chosen for their long lasting qualities once applied to your skin, while also being able to combat a variety of weather conditions including heat and humidity. With minimal touching, your makeup is expected stay for the duration of your event! Lipstick samples can be provided for touch ups as needed.

Do you travel and where to?

I am a mobile makeup service, meaning I will travel to your home or accommodation with my full makeup kit.

I am based in the Illawarra, servicing the area from the northern suburbs of Wollongong to the Gerringong.

I am available for further distances including the South Coast and the Southern Highlands on request with the inclusion of a travel expense. If further travel time is required to reach a destination, I do charge a small fee depending on the distance.

Do you offer a discount for more than one person in a booking?

 Yes I do!

Price discounts depend on the number of people to be booked on the single booking.

Makeup application can only be performed at the one location. Please keep in mind that time allowances of roughly 60 minutes per person need to be considered when arranging time of booking.

Brides - should I have a makeup trial?

 Your wedding is a big day to celebrate you and your partner, where you want to be looking your very best!

I recommend bridal trials so we're able to meet and discuss your wedding details - from colour themes, dress and hair style, desired look and every other important little detail so I can be clear on your personalised bridal vision. Collecting images from Google or Pinterest is a great way to start building ideas of the desired look that you're after, which you can then share with me during your trial.

Your trial gives you the chance to ask questions, voice any concerns and be 100% happy with your choice of makeup artist and application prior to the big day.
